GEOGRAPHICAL CONDITION

Sabang’s area is located on 05046'28”—05054'28" North Latitude and 95013'02—95022'36" East Longitude, 154 km2 wide with the average altitude ± 28 m above sea level.

Sabang’s area is covering 5 islands i.e. Weh Island, Rubiah Island, Klah Island, Rondo Island and Seulako Island.

The topography of Sabang’s area is covering ± 3% lowland, ± 10% surging land, ± 35 % hilly land and ± 52% hilly and mountainous land. In addition according to the regional geological data, Sabang’s area consists of ± 70% volcanic rock, ± 27% sediment rock and ± 3% alluvial rock.
